Head of Marketing

WeMachines is one workspace for software teams - chat, tasks, docs, discussions and huddles sitting on your GitHub monorepo, with an AI teammate working inside every one of them whose work ends in a pull request. There’s early traction: teams are on it, paying, and they stay. What there isn’t is anyone whose job is growth. You’d be the first, which means the low-hanging fruit is all still on the tree and you get to decide what marketing means here.

€70–90k + equity Net, per year, on a B2B contract. Equity package on top.

What you’d actually do

  • Go find the low-hanging fruit. There’s a lot of it and nobody has picked any.
  • Run growth experiments every week - channels, hooks, launches, SEO, lifecycle - keep what works, kill what doesn’t, fast.
  • Get on calls with customers and prospects yourself. What they say becomes the copy, and half of it becomes the roadmap.
  • Write it, ship it, measure it. Planning is the small half of this job.
  • Turn how we build into something people follow. We ship in public; that is the marketing.
  • Wear whatever hat the week needs - support, onboarding, a demo, a deck - and work directly with the founder on story, pricing and what’s next.

Who this fits

  • You’ve grown something real before - ideally a dev or productivity product, ideally early enough that it was messy.
  • You get your hands dirty: strategy in the morning, a customer call at noon, rewriting landing page copy in the afternoon.
  • You write well. Genuinely well. It’s most of the job.
  • You’d rather publish and find out than plan and wait.
  • You already work with AI tools every day and have opinions about where this goes.
  • You want this job in particular. How teams work is changing, we’re building that now, and you’d want to be in it for that reason before the salary.

Bonus points

  • You’ve taken something from “barely works” to a real launch and lived through the messy middle.
  • You’ve got a body of work out there - a newsletter, a blog, talks, a community.
  • You’ve marketed to engineers without dumbing anything down, and they trusted you.
  • You’ve pulled off a growth hack that had no business working.
