Infrastructure Engineer (DevOps)
WeMachines is the workspace for software teams and their AI - chat, tasks, docs and huddles on your GitHub repo, with an AI teammate whose work ends in a pull request. It runs on Cloudflare Workers and Durable Objects, Supabase Postgres, AI models from several providers and a desktop app we ship ourselves. Today the engineers who build features also run all of that. You’d be the first person whose job is keeping it fast, safe and cheap.
On a B2B contract. Equity package included.
What you’d actually do
- Own the production setup: Cloudflare Workers, Durable Objects, Supabase, storage, DNS and secrets.
- Make deploys boring. CI, database migrations, preview environments, desktop and mobile release pipelines.
- Set up monitoring and alerts that tell us something broke before a customer does, and be the one who fixes it.
- Keep the AI side reliable - model providers go down, rate-limit and change prices, and the product should barely notice.
- Watch the cloud and AI bill, and cut it without making anything slower.
- Help with security and compliance work as bigger customers ask for it.
Who this fits
- You’ve run production systems that real people depended on, and been on call for them.
- You know Postgres well - migrations, performance, backups, access rules.
- You write infrastructure as code and automate what you do twice.
- You’re comfortable reading and fixing application code, not only the layer under it.
- You use AI tools in your own work and want to push that further.
Bonus points
- You’ve worked with Cloudflare Workers, Durable Objects or Containers.
- You’ve been through SOC 2 or a similar audit.
- You’ve shipped signed desktop apps and know what notarisation is.
