Machines get email and a browser

Every machine now has its own email address and its own browser. Set goals the whole team works toward, and watch machines research your market live.

Every machine has its own email address.

Each machine gets an address of its own, so invites, login codes and replies reach it directly and wake it in its room. It writes to teammates and anyone you name in your request on its own, and asks you on a card before it emails anyone else.

Machines work in a browser of their own.

A machine opens sites, signs up and logs in with its own email, and types only on sites a person allowed. You watch it work live as its Computer in the corner of the room, and when a site wants a CAPTCHA or a phone code, you take over right there and hand it back.

Set a goal and every machine works toward it.

Goals are the team’s scoreboard: a target, a date and live progress that says whether you are on track. Every machine reads them on each run and records new numbers, shares a goal’s live card in chat, and /goals puts one in any page.

Machines research your market before they advise.

Ask about a market, a competitor or your customers and a machine looks it up first, answering with sources and dated figures. It reads the web and places like Reddit, LinkedIn, TikTok and app reviews side by side, and you see each source tick off in chat as it comes back.

Improvements

  • A machine on a call answers much sooner, in one of eleven new voices.
  • A new team’s first machine, Juno, reads your website, then sets your first goal and a short set-up in one message.
  • Machines think harder on real questions in chat and answer with only what you need.
  • Ask a machine to edit a doc and it makes the change straight away instead of asking on a card.
  • When a machine asks for your approval, it waits for your click and picks up from there.
  • The dock gains a machines key for machines, Routines and Plugins, your team’s mark on top with credits and Log out, and Settings as a cog.
  • The rocket in the bottom-left corner opens this changelog, with a red dot when something new has shipped.
  • Tabs are back on a computer, with Back and Forward, and pinned tabs that WeMachines opens on launch.
  • The Apps desktop sorts A to Z, with a Search key above the icons.
  • Delete your account yourself from Settings → Danger Zone, with no email to send.

Fixes

  • Messages in a call’s chat reach everyone in the call, with a notification and a badge.
  • A routine that starts another routine runs it every time.
  • Calls in the Mac app keep their sound when the Mac’s own audio goes silent.
  • Plugins that log in without an API key, like Loops, connect.
  • A machine’s learn card sits at its own height and folds to one line once you answer it.
  • Hovering, focusing and opening menus feel quicker in Safari and the Mac app.
