Build, memory and personal machines
Run a coding agent on your own computer with Build, give everyone a private machine, and let machines remember what your team decided in chat and Slack.
Build with a coding agent that knows your team’s work.
Start Claude Code or Codex on your own computer from the new Build key and point it at a task, a doc or an app with #. Run several sessions at once, see what each one changed, and with Remote on, send work to your computer from your phone.
Machines remember what your team decided.
Every machine now learns from your team’s chat once a conversation goes quiet, and recalls it when someone asks weeks later. Its Wiki shows what it knows about the team and each person, every note opens the messages it came from, and anyone who can edit can forget one.
A private machine for everyone on the team.
Everyone on the team now has a personal machine only they can see and talk to. It reads the team’s work to help you and keeps its own routines, skills and email address, and what it learns about you stays on a private shelf nobody else reads.
Connect Slack and your machines learn from it.
Connect Slack in one click and pick your workspace on Slack’s own screen. @WeMachines joins your public channels and reads the last 30 days, so your machines learn who is who and what was decided there. Switch any channel off, and disconnecting forgets everything learned from Slack.
Improvements
- Give each machine a level, Efficient, Balanced or Ultra, and WeMachines picks the right model for every job.
- Every machine has its own pages for General, Routines, Skills, Plugins, Wiki and Sites, and each routine belongs to the machine that runs it.
- New machines are named after legendary machines like Voyager and Hubble, and you can pick a face from fifteen robots or upload your own.
- Make pictures from the Create card under the composer, with model, format and quality on chips, the price on the button and every picture kept in Files.
- Open 3D models and molecules from chat and Files in a viewer you can turn, zoom and play.
- Folders are back in Docs: they nest, and a page moves into one by drag or with Move to folder.
- A task’s Run button opens a Build session with the task already in the box, and New app on the Apps page builds your app there too.
- A coding agent connected to WeMachines can ask your machines by name and use the team’s skills and plugins.
- The plugin directory now holds over 2,500 plugins.
- Anyone can sign up now, with no invite needed.
Fixes
- On iPhone, editing or deleting a message from its long-press menu leaves nothing behind on the screen.
- The effort you pick under the composer now applies in a machine’s own room too.
- On a phone, the Inbox keeps its tabs and the Unread filter at the top, and Mark all as seen is a button you can read.
